View of the audience assembled
on the Great Lawn in Central Park. Behind them, to the right of the picture, is Belvedere Castle, built in 1872 as a viewing pavilion overlooking Croton Reservoir. In 1937 the reservoir was filled in to become the Great Lawn. Behind the castle is a lovely view of the midtown skyline. The building about a third of the way in from the right (with the pointed roof) is the Worldwide Plaza which houses Dodger Stages, where Shuler appeared in The Great American Trailer Park Musical. |
