birthday of pianist Byron Janis, New York Public Library for the
Performing Arts' Bruno Walter Auditorium, 10 March 2008.
This was the first time Mr. Janis'
compositions were performed in public. Hosted by Pia Lindstrom; other performers included Robert Cuccioli
and Karen Mason.

Broadway's
Celebrity Benefit for Hurricane Relief, Gerswhin Theatre, NYC, 25
September 2005. Produced by the company members of Wicked to
benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and featuring a host of Broadway
stars, "this will be one of the most memorable nights on
Broadway," said Liza Minnelli, "ever!"
Shuler sang You'll Never Walk Alone
with just a piano accompaniment.

Part of this season's The Sound of Broadway Series celebrating the
centennial of Richard Rodgers. The series includes conversations with
Rodgers's daughter, Mary Rodgers, and Ted Chapin of the Rodgers and
Hammerstein Organization, along with performances by Barbara Cook and cast
members of the Broadway revivals of Oklahoma! and The Boys from
Syracuse, special appearances, and performances by surprise guests
Some Enchanted Evening : A Richard Rodgers Gala, Juilliard Theater,
NYC, 4 February 2002. A gala benefit, sponsored by the Juilliard School,
to celebrate the centennial of Rodger's birth, and pay tribute to his
daughter and Juilliard chairman emeritus, Mary Guettel. Shuler sang Lonely
Room from Oklahoma! The concert also starred Glenn Close,
Barbara Cook, Bernadette Peters, Audra McDonald, Michael Feinstein and
Karen Ziemba. "All of them are grateful to Rodgers for creating
material exquisitely wrought for believable characters with unbelievable
voices."
