3 March : Looks as if After.Life (a movie that Shuler filmed a year or so ago) is to be released next month, in the US at least. This show will be the first time Shuler has performed in London for 11 years! 17 Feb : "That's the wonderful thing about actors. 4 Dec : An exciting update from Shuler! He'll be singing at the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday and will get to meet the Obamas at the White House! According to the Kennedy Center website, the Honors Gala will be recorded for broadcast as a 2 hour primetime special on CBS, Tues December 29. 23 Nov : It's Monday, and Shuler and Roger Bart are spending their day off - working! They'll be in NYC, taking part in a reading of The Secret Life of Cartoons by Clive Barker. Details at Playbill. 13 Oct : Don't forget to keep an eye on the YF Tour page for all the latest articles and publicity, including a great interview with Shuler "From the Monster's Mouth" by John Patrick Gatta in the Cleveland Morning Journal (here). 3 Oct : Young Frankenstein: The PPAC Première Fabulous 25 minute Video Special from WPRI HERE 27 Sept : The movie Opa! (which Shuler filmed in 2005) will finally get a limited US release in October. More info and links on the movie's page. 23 Sept : Great feature on Paradise Found in the New York Times. 22 Sept : Today's news will please fans in New York and - LONDON! Shuler returns to the London stage next spring for the first time in just over 10 years to appear in the new Hal Prince musical Paradise Found, which will be staged at the prestigious Menier Chocolate Factory before transferring to New York. Shuler and the rest of the starry cast have been involved with this project from the outset (News 21 June 2009 and 6 Sept 2008). Variety has all the details! 20 Sept : Shuler is one of 25 artists scheduled to appear in a benefit concert for Skylight Opera on Monday October 5 at St. Luke's Theatre, W 46th Street, NYC. Full details at Playbill. 15 Sept : A full one hour broadcast of the 2009 inaugural Shuler Awards is now available to view on WSB-TV's website. Enjoy! Just a reminder that it's less than 2 weeks to the opening of the Young Frankenstein tour in Providence, Rhode Island. And some movie news : Van Helsing has just been released on Blu-ray. Disappointingly, there is apparently no definite release date as yet for After.Life. 23 July : Great news for those of you who weren't able to get to New York to see Young Frankenstein. Shuler may well be coming to a city near you!
